This policy explains what information California Garvey Windows & Doors ("we" or "us") collects through calgarveywindows.com, what we do with it, and your rights under California law. It covers this website, our quote form, and calls or emails about a quote.
What we collect
When you request a quote. The quote form asks for your name, phone, email, project type and project details. Anything you type in the details box, such as a job address or window sizes, is collected too.
When you call or email us. Your phone number or email address and whatever you tell us about your project.
When you visit the site. Our web server keeps standard logs: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and the date and time. We do not run ad trackers or analytics on this site.
When you send us project photos. If we give you a link to upload job photos or videos, we receive the files, the category you pick and any note you add. Photos from a phone can carry location data inside the file. We strip that data from every photo and video before it goes on the website.
How the quote form works
Our quote form is delivered by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form service that receives what you type and emails it to our business inbox. FormSubmit handles that data under its own privacy policy. We then keep your request in our email so we can follow up on the quote.
How we use it
- To answer your quote request and follow up on it
- To schedule measurements, pickups and deliveries, and to place and support your order
- To run and secure the website, such as blocking spam and abuse
- To keep business and tax records the law requires
- To post project photos on our website, only after we review them and only photos that do not show people's faces, house numbers or other personal details
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We pass it only to the people who help us do the job: Milgard, when we order product or file a warranty claim for you; FormSubmit, which delivers the quote form; our email provider; our website host; and the agency that maintains this website for us. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
Cookies and outside services
This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which can see your IP address. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and project emails as long as we need them to quote, fill and support your order, and to meet record-keeping rules, usually up to seven years for jobs that became orders. Server logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks. We delete uploaded photos we decide not to use.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with
- Get a copy of the personal information we have about you
- Ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions such as records we must keep
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of today.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through this site.
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights
Categories collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, phone, email, IP address), internet activity (server log data), and customer records (project details and order information). Sources: you, and your browser. Purpose: the uses listed above.
How to make a request: call us at (626) 280-3316 or email calgarvey@gmail.com. We will confirm your identity by matching the name and contact details you used with us, and answer within 45 days. You can have an authorized agent make the request for you with your signed permission.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to quote emails and uploads is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise information sent over the internet is fully secure.
Children
This site is for homeowners and businesses. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
